What role must the Redeemer fulfill as both God and man?

The role of the Redeemer as both God and man is fundamentally that of a Mediator. This is because a Mediator serves as a bridge between two parties—in this case, God and humanity. The other roles, while important in their own rights—such as being a King, High Priest, or Savior—do not encompass the comprehensive function of reconciling the relationship between God and man in the same way.
