Church of God (COG) Exhorter Practice Exam

The requirement for sanctification that emphasizes faith in the blood of Christ aligns with core theological principles in the Church of God (COG) teachings. This perspective views faith as a foundational element in the process of sanctification, which is understood as being set apart for God and increasingly transformed into the likeness of Christ.

Believing in the sacrificial death of Jesus and His atoning blood is essential, as it signifies acceptance of His grace and the work He accomplished on the cross. This belief fosters a relationship with God that leads to spiritual growth and transformation. It is through this faith that individuals are empowered and enabled to pursue a life of holiness and separation from sin, which is at the heart of the sanctification process.

Other options, while they may hold significance in Christian practice, do not specifically encapsulate the doctrinal necessity required for sanctification according to the teachings of the COG. For instance, prayer is important for a believer's spiritual life, but it is not identified as a required element for the process of sanctification itself. Similarly, participation in rituals and community service can be valuable for nurturing faith and community life, but they are not considered fundamental requirements for sanctification in this context.
